TREDIS Software, a division of EBP US, Inc., is seeking a person with knowledge and interest in the application of software tools to improve transportation planning processes. 

The position involves advising and supporting state and local transportation planning agencies in the application of decision support software tools for planning, prioritization, impact analysis and funding decisions. The position will involve working with both prospective and current clients.

Candidates for this position should have some familiarity with topics such as:

  • Economic evaluation methods (including benefit-cost and economic impact analysis)
  • Project selection methods (multicriteria rating, cost effectiveness, scoring and ranking)
  • State Department of Transportation and Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) processes
  • Long range planning and visioning for alternative futures (demographic, technology, and trade trends)

Candidates should demonstrate passion for how infrastructure affects people and the economy. Minimum qualifications include:

  • A degree related to transportation, urban/regional planning, public policy, public administration, marketing, business analytics, trade and logistics, data science, regional science, or economics;
  • Excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and effectively in a business environment;
  • Demonstrated experience related to transportation planning as well as software or data services.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to proactively identify and contact DOTs, MPOs and other planning entities to show how agency business processes could benefit from utilization of decision support tools and methodologies. Business development experience is a plus. Candidates should be able to deliver value propositions to all levels including executives. Responsibilities also include organizing webinars, participating in periodic trade shows and maintaining current account relationships.

The role also has responsibilities as a business analyst communicating customer needs to the research and development team. TREDIS is the market leader in delivering new solutions to agencies evaluating complex economic effects of transportation investment and is always working to improve the product.

The role will provide training and support to existing users of TREDIS Software products, forming part of a core team working with agencies across the country to better assess economic conditions and outcomes in their decision-making process.
