The Lochmueller Group relied on TREDIS as part of its benefit analysis in the Environmental Impact Study for the Mid States Corridor. This corridor is proposed to link from I-64/US 231 to I-69 in southern Indiana.
The analysis of economic benefits drew on the Indiana Statewide Travel Demand Model (ISTDM), Major Corridor Investment Benefit Analysis System (MCIBAS), and Transportation Economic Development Impact System (TREDIS). It generated forecasts of economic impacts associated with project alternatives, in terms of detailed county-level industry measures and changes in employment, business sales, and household income. The analysis covered both passenger car travel and effects on business logistics.
