New York University Rudin Center for Transportation and Appleseed, a New York City-based consulting firm used TREDIS to evaluate the impact to the New York Metro Area's economy due to funding shortfalls due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Without an additional $12 billion in new federal aid, bus, subway, and commuter rail services will experience extreme cuts. TREDIS was used to perform a preliminary analysis to evaluate the impact on jobs and the regional GDP if the new funding is not made available.
