Michigan Mobility Plan

Michigan DOT conducted a programmatic assessment of its modal programs (road, transit, air, rail, ped, bike) considering state of good repair, capacity, capital operations, ITS, and safety road investments. For each mode, the analysis considered the difference between current policy funding levels and a higher level of funding that would meet ‘full needs’. These analyses helped communicate the value of the programs covered in the plan.

The study relied on TREDIS to assess the wider job and income impacts associated with investments to improve pavement conditions, reduce bridge closures, reduce highway crashes, and improve the reliability and level of service for transit and highways.
