COMPASS, the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho, has been using TREDIS in three ways: (1) to prioritize transportation projects for its long-range transportation plan, (2) to evaluate economic and supply chain impacts for its freight plan, and (3) to provide cost/benefit and economic impact analyses in support of grant applications for individual projects. COMPASS develops project cost and trip-related information from the regional travel demand model as inputs to TREDIS, for evaluating the returns for project and program investments.
