The Las Vegas Area MPO relied on TREDIS to examine the economic implications of eight “big moves” – strategies designed to transform the mobility of the region. They included scenarios for developing high capacity transit through BRT and LRT corridors, as well as broader mobility strategies such as first-and-last mile connections provided through ride, bike, or scooter share.
The TREDIS analysis covered both the economic value of broader societal benefits and effects on the regional economic development in terms of jobs, income and business output. These were based on inputs regarding transit and road system performance (volumes, speeds, reliability, and vehicle occupancy) and broader effects on car ownership and labor market access.
