Version End of Life
TREDIS is continuously developed as new features and architectures are adopted. Older versions are retired periodically under the following schedule:
Upon release of a new version, the prior version enters the end-of-life cycle.
- ~6 months after release: A notice is sent to all current subscribers informing them of the end-of-life schedule. Users are encouraged to use the project backup feature to retain inputs for any project they wish to preserve.
- ~12 months after release: The prior version becomes read-only. Economic models cannot be re-run and no new projects may be created, but existing reports can be viewed and exported. Technical and program support for the prior version ends at this time.
- ~24 months after release: The older version is retired. Project data for active subscribers is maintained, but access requires assistance from the TREDIS team.
Data Retention Policy
User data including project inputs and economic models are retained for the duration of an active subscription subject to the active data years policy below. If a subscription lapses, user data is maintained for a minimum of six (6) months before becoming subject to deletion.
Active Data Years
To optimize platform performance, TREDIS maintains the latest data year and the two prior data years in active accounts. Older economic data is removed from active accounts on an annual basis.
Starting June 1, 2026, active accounts will have access to the current data release and two prior contract years. Projects from earlier contract years will no longer be accessible in the application after this date.
What this means for you:
- Project inputs: Use the multi-project backup feature to download and preserve inputs for any project.
- Project results: Use the new detailed multi-project results export feature to download results data from older projects.
- Migrating older projects: TREDIS’ backup capability and import capabilities allows you to move older projects to a current contract -preserving the original modal constants and analysis settings but getting the most recent economic data. (You may need to adjust analysis years.)
